Pune: SuperGaming, one of India’s most innovative and fastest-growing gaming companies, has successfully raised $15 million (₹131 crore) in Series B funding, boosting its valuation to $100 million.

The funding round was led by Skycatcher and Steadview Capital, with backing from a global network of strategic investors including a16z Speedrun, Bandai Namco 021 Fund, Neowiz, and Polygon Ventures.

The latest round also saw participation from leading Web3 and gaming investors such as LOUD.GG, GFR Fund, IVC Japan, Sandeep Nailwal, King River Capital, and returning investors BACE Capital, AET Japan, and SkyCatcher, underscoring strong confidence in SuperGaming’s vision and delivery.

From India to the World: SuperGaming’s Global Strategy

SuperGaming is best known for Indus Battle Royale, its award-winning flagship title which won Google Play’s “Best Made in India Game” for 2024. With the new funding, SuperGaming plans to scale Indus Battle Royale globally, beginning with Latin America through a partnership with LOUD.GG, followed by other emerging gaming markets like the Middle East.

The company is also expanding its proprietary SuperPlatform, a powerful backend SaaS solution developed with Google Cloud, designed for building, operating, and scaling real-time multiplayer games – especially on low-end devices.

With features like AI-powered game development tools, analytics, monetization engines, and social capabilities, SuperPlatform will empower developers and publishers in emerging economies to launch high-quality gaming experiences without building backend infrastructure from scratch.

“This investment marks a significant inflection point. India is no longer just a gaming consumer market—it’s becoming a global innovation hub,” said Roby John, CEO and Co-founder of SuperGaming. “‘Indus Battle Royale’ is just the beginning. Our mission is to enable developers worldwide with tools like SuperPlatform to build ambitious, high-scale games that integrate emerging technologies like Web3.”

SuperGaming: Web3 Advantage

As a frontrunner in India’s gaming Web3 evolution, SuperGaming is also integrating blockchain-based solutions into its gaming portfolio. Its hit title Silly Royale is now live on Superchain, a Layer-3 blockchain powered by B3 GameChain, built on Coinbase’s Base Ethereum L2. This integration allows seamless Web2 and Web3 gameplay, interoperable progression, and asset ownership—bringing players closer to immersive, decentralized gaming.

“I’ve always dreamed of seeing a world-class gaming studio rise from India, and SuperGaming has what it takes,” said Sandeep Nailwal, Co-founder of Polygon Ventures. “Their commitment to quality, tech-first innovation, and understanding of global player behavior makes them stand out in an extremely competitive space.”

Trusted by Global Gaming Leaders

The company’s track record and innovation-driven approach have earned it support from gaming and venture capital heavyweights. Bandai Namco, creators of global IPs like Tekken and Pac-Man, believe their investment will unlock mutual value in both India and international markets.

“SuperGaming’s SuperPlatform adds deep value to how community-driven games are built and scaled,” said Natsuhiro Maruyama from Bandai Namco 021 Fund.

The Road Ahead

With Series B capital, SuperGaming aims to:

  • Expand Indus Battle Royale into new geographies
  • Invest in top-tier global talent and creative IPs
  • Scale SuperPlatform for global SaaS adoption
  • Deepen Web3 and blockchain integrations
  • Strengthen publisher partnerships across the world

“In gaming, the experience is everything,” said Ed Fries, General Partner at 1UpFund and Co-creator of Microsoft Game Studios. “SuperGaming has already delivered where most others are still pitching. That’s rare – and that’s why we’re excited about what’s next.”
